You may have noticed that watermarks have started to appear on images on My Irie Time. ย I have not used them before because I find them distracting to the images. ย Unfortunately, image theft is running rampant, and I now find the need to use a watermark to reinforce my copyright. I have discovered multiple unauthorized uses of my images, including use on commercial sites. ย Although a thief can still try to crop out or remove the watermark, the copyright law prohibits doing so and entitles the owner of the copyrighted materials to damages, including attorneys fees. ย For more on the protections of copyright law, read here.ย I have tried to keep the My Irie Time mark as non-invasive as possible so that you can still enjoy the images featured here. ย
The process of replacing images with their watermarked version will take some time to complete given the number of images on this site. ย The fact that an image has not yet been replaced with a watermarked version should not be construed as a waiver of my copyright notice, which also appears on every page of this site, nor should it be construed as permission to use the image for any purpose. ย I simply have not finished replacing all the images.
If you have any questions about my image use policy, or would like to license my images, please send me a message via the Contact Form. ย Thank you!
